The Public Services Association (PSA) extends its deepest and heartfelt sympathy over the passing of Tableland Secondary School Principal, Rajesh Ram. According to reports by the school’s staff, Mr. Ram passed away last night after receiving a positive Covid-19 test last week.

In a previous interview with several of the school’s staff, it was reported that 90 percent of employees were primary contacts of the principal. However, no contact tracing or proper sanitization has been done to mitigate the spread of the virus amongst staff. Staff members continue to work in fear under such circumstances.

The PSA, represented by Second Vice President, Avinash Maharajh wrote to the school’s District School Supervisor, regarding proper rotation of staff in all schools to mitigate further exposure and contamination of the virus. However, no response or mandate for rotation of employees has been given.
